We have found Bluebird Care to be reliable and flexible and dedicated to my mum’s needs. All the carers are excellent but in particular, one member of staff has been fantastic and extremely helpful in looking after my mum.
I am very happy with my carers and get on well with them. To my knowledge I've had them for three years, they all do a very good job.
I am pleased with her care. She said she would like to have a regular carer, as often she has different ones, but we understand the difficulty with staff shortages. She originally requested her visits to be after 10 am, as it takes her a while to get up. Last few weeks the carer has arrived at 9.15 am. Mum is always notified if the carer is to arrive early, so at least she can make sure she is up. Again she understands this may be due to shortages/sickness.
Bluebird Care is a very reliable service, on occasions when staff are late we always receive a phone call beforehand to explain lateness. Over eight or so years we have only been let down a couple of times. Overall, a caring and efficient service.
I've been with many agencies over the years and Bluebird Care is by far the best. I feel reassured that everyone from carers to management are there both for me as a customer and for each other as colleagues, this makes such a difference. I feel safe and well looked after even when my health is unstable. They have been great during Covid-19 at adapting to changing needs (adding in shopping calls etc) and ensuring I am as safe and protected as possible.
Since my mother started using Bluebird 6/8 years ago, I have had peace of mind knowing they will never let us down, and she will always get the best care. Especially over the last year when Covid restrictions have meant, I have not been able to visit her much myself. They are very kind and professional and keep me informed of any problems she has - health or otherwise. She has used two other companies over the last 10-years and Bluebird is the best.
I will have been with Bluebird Care agency for two years in January. During this time Louise has been to my home to do my care calls regularly. I have always found Louise to be a compassionate and attentive carer. Louise has plenty of experience and I always feel safe and comfortable with her attending to my personal care needs. During this two year period issues have come up with rotas and some other issues with carers, Louise has dealt with these issues with tact and sensitivity. Louise always delivers high quality person centered care.
I can't praise Bluebird enough for their care of my Mum (and keeping an eye on my Dad too!). It has been such a relief during COVID to know that they are being looked after and checked on during the course of the day. Bluebird also supports me by keeping me informed if they have any worries or concerns, especially given COVID I went from seeing my parents every week to not being able to visit them until just recently.
Being in their late 90's my parents are adamant that they want to stay in their own home and being 2hrs away from me, Bluebird has provided the means to make that happen. The carers are so kind and considerate and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. Also, Bluebird gives me the ability to change the care package as my parents' needs change, thereby keeping them safe, looked after and happy.
Bluebird provides an amazing level of care and I would like to thank all of the staff for the brilliant job they do.
