Meet the team

We are very proud to have been rated Outstanding for Effective by the CQC; thanks to all the hard work and dedication of our team below and all our Care Assistants.

Sara D

Area Supervisor

Sara has been working for Bluebird Care since 2014 as a carer and recently joined the office team as an Area Supervisor.  Since joining Sara has been loyal, hardworking, reliable, and always helping with extra when needed.  Sara completed Level 2 in Adult Social Care. Since joining the office team, Sara has learnt a different side and found it very interesting.  Knowing the customers Sara has been about to support the carers and review customers care plans effectively.

Sara enjoys both the caring and office-based roles and from September will be working in the office 2 days a week and the rest being a carer again.

Sara states  “I enjoy looking after people in their own homes and encouraging the customers to be involved in their care as much as possible, always ensuring their safety.  I also enjoy supporting my colleagues around me and ensuring the new carers have full support and understanding of their role”.

Sarah Whiteman

Area Supervisor

Sarah has many years of experience as a care worker and has been working with Bluebird Care (Lewes District, Brighton and Hove) since March 2019. She joined the office team, working from the Newhaven office, working in support of Tracy Wood, our Lead Area Supervisor. Sarah holds Level 2 & 3 qualifications in Health & Social Care.

I have enjoyed my progression from Carer to Support Supervisor and now to Area Supervisor; I have had a lot of encouragement and support from the team and have also always felt part of the team.

Nicki Brown

Care Co-ordinator

Nicki started with bluebird care (Lewes District) January 2023 as the Care Co-Ordinator.

She has been working in care for 23 years, she started making tea for the residents in a residential care home at the age of 14. Nicki’s vast experience has been gained from working in residential and nursing care homes and has gained a level 2 NVQ in health and social care.

Nicki felt it was time to progress within the industry and decided to take on the role as Care Co-ordinator and since joining she has flourished within the role. “Taking on the role of Care Co-ordinator was a big step for me as it took me out of my comfort zone, however, I am thoroughly enjoying the new daily challenges and helping all the carers and customers and I have built some amazing new professional relationships”.
