The Stars had a tough game this week!

Last week was Cup week which saw The Stars take on Intersport who were in a higher division to them. Remembering back to iconic Cup ‘Giant Killing’ victories like Hereford v Newcastle in 1972 for inspiration - The Stars were in for a tricky match.
We kicked off with a bang, going 1-0 up, only to find ourselves trailing 2-1. But, as The Stars have shown time and again, resilience is their middle name. By halftime, they had got the score back to 2-2.
The second half was a nail-biter, with both teams giving it their all. In the final 10 minutes, Intersport managed to sneak in 3 goals, but the scoreline doesn't tell the whole story. We played with heart, grit, and an unwavering spirit.
A huge shoutout to Bethany, who was voted 'Player's Player' by her teammates. And let's not forget Hope, who was the 'Manager's Player' of the day, whose goal was peppered with shots throughout the match, making save after save, with her performance being nothing short of the standard we’d expect from Mary Earps!
For a bit of perspective, this same Intersport team recently beat Billericay, who are top of the Girls A league, 2-0. This just goes to show the leaps and bounds our Stars have made.
While the match didn't end in our favour, the journey and the growth are what we celebrate.
The girls can be seen lining up for a minute silence to pay their respects for the fallen.
