Bluebire Care wins 'Home Care Worker of the Year Award' at the Great British Care Awards

We are proud to announce that Carol won the Home Carer of the Year Award!
A huge congratulations to Carol, who won the Home Care Worker of the Year award at the Great British Care Awards (East of England).
This award recognises the significant role of the Home Care Worker in consistently providing a high quality standard, for people living in their own homes. Evidence of dedication, going the extra mile, providing dignity in their care, encouraging independence, and career development through training are important elements for the judges.
Over the course of five years, Carol has played an integral role in one particular customer's journey; aiding a young adult with complex care needs to develop vital personal care and daily living skills. Her person-centred approach and consistent encouragement have supported her customer through major life events, including transitioning from school, enduring major surgery, and adapting through the Covid pandemic.
The customer’s family had this to say about Carol - 'Carol truly is not only an amazing carer but an amazing person. My son is so lucky to have her in his life.'
From both these pictures, you can see the warmth in Carol's smile and her caring disposition. She is a much deserved winner who has a fantastic chance to win the national award at the finals in March 2024.
