A Q&A with Chloe who has been with us for 10 years!

Professional Care Workers Week may be over, but we are going to continue to post Q&A's with our lovely staff going forward.
Meet Chloe, a true Bluebird Carer through and through. Chloe has experienced so much in her 10 years with Bluebird Care - read below to hear her story:
Q: What attracted you to working in care?
A: At school when I was 15 I started doing health and social care where I first developed an interest in care. I then went on to study accountancy for a year and actually left early to join Bluebird Care as an apprentice in 2012 at the age of 18!
Q:What has been your career journey with Bluebird Care?
A: I started off as an Apprentice, I then moved into admin full time, I helped as a Care Co-ordinator, and then went into finance! Currently, I have been working in the Clinical Care team and I have never been happier. I love my job and I love clinical work, where I am starting to progress and take on more responsibilities.
Q: What do you like about Clinical Care?
A: I like clinical because it is challenging and complicated. There is so much scope to learn new things and make a huge impact as it’s a niche skill set. The difference you make to someone who has such complex needs is incredible.
I now focus on two clients and my skill set has grown massively. I’ve learned a lot about life and developed new life skills from engaging with customers.
I am about to start my Level 3 in Clinical Care and I can’t wait.
Q: What do you think makes a good carer?
A: Need to be determined and have a backbone. Care isn’t always easy, so you need to be able to adjust to your setting and adapt, and always be selfless.
Q: What’s your favourite way to spend time outside of work?
A: I like to go on little adventures with my son Maxwell - and I love going to gigs (especially rock music). I also love to cook, and I am obsessed with Ninja cooking products!
Thank you for sharing with us Chloe - we are glad to hear you are so happy with your role.
