Raising awareness and highlighting issues faced by people affected by dementia

As part of World Alzheimer's Month, today is part of an international campaign to raise awareness of dementia and Alzheimer's.

The theme for the campaign is Know dementia, know Alzheimer's.  The Alzheimer's Society are encouraging everyone to learn more about the signs and symptoms of dementia.

They have a range of literature available to support, inform and educate, from one-page guides to their 184-page guide to living well after a diagnosis.  A full list of their guides can be found here.

The Alzheimer's Society also have a great deal of information about the symptoms of dementia, treatments for dementia and more which can be found here.

If you or a loved one need extra support at home, our care assistants are trained in dementia care (along with Safeguarding, infection control, food hygiene and much more).  Our friendly and knowledgeable home care team in Aylesbury would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about setting up care or your ongoing care needs.  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about dementia care, or home care and live-in care in general.
