How to spend the day in York: York Minister

Throughout this blog you will learn about York Minister and how it is a wonderful day out when visiting York.

Dating back to medieval times, this splendid Church of England cathedral features magnificent 14th- and 15th-century-stained glass, stonework, and elaborate tombs. The York Minister is a must-see when visiting York, it’s for the architecture lovers and anyone who appreciates history. The minister includes a museum inside that includes loads of history and information about the Minister.

Not only is the church absolutely packed with history and breathtaking stained-glass windows, but it includes many events that are engaging with Yorks local community. This starts with the York Ministers Walkers’ website.

The church are incredibly accommodating to all ages, so if you have children who you want to introduce to a local church, see here for more details.

We are delighted to welcome children to worship with us throughout the week. We want to provide ways for children and families to worship together at York Minster
