Bluebird Care Announce Partnership with Princess Royal Trust

Bluebird Care have announced a partnership with The Princess Royal Trust for Carers in Hampshire (PRTCH) to create and host a programme of Pamper Days and Special Treat events for family carers throughout the local area.

The Pamper Day programme consists of four wonderful, free events for local family carers and will take place during National Carers Week. National Carers Week this year runs from 6th-12th June 2016, along the theme of ‘Building Carer Friendly Communities.’ Communities which support carers to look after their family and friends well, while recognising they themselves are individuals with needs of their own.

The Bluebird Care and PRTCH Pamper Day Programme

 
Alton: 6th June, 10am-2pm, St Peter's Church - Tea & Dance including a swing singer
Eastleigh: 6th June, 10am-3pm, One Community - Pamper Day & lunch
Andover: 10th June, 10am-3pm, Masonic Hall - Pamper Day & buffet lunch
Romsey: 15th June, 10.30am-12.30pm, Hythe Marina - Carers Boat Trip and refreshments
 
National Carers Week is an annual campaign which aims to raise the awareness of caring, highlighting the challenges carers face and recognising the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the Hampshire area.
 
Bluebird Care are delighted to now be working in partnership with the PRTCH to provide memorable and well deserved days out for local family carers to enjoy. Bluebird Care will be providing transport to and from each of the events and are offering respite care to enable family carers to receive some well needed care and pampering themselves.
 
Claire Murphy, Owner & Director of Bluebird Care, said: “Having worked with the PRTCH over the past four years on the Emergency Planning Service, it’s wonderful to extend our partnership to work together for National Carers Week. We at Bluebird Care are committed to building carer friendly communities and these Pamper Days will give hundreds of family carers a treat that they truly deserve.”

The Princess Royal Trust for Carers in Hampshire is a charity that supports unpaid carers by providing information, advocacy & advice and ensures that carers feel supported and valued. The Trust facilitates support groups across the region, clinics in GP surgeries, counselling and Carers Hubs. The Trust also provides an Emergency Planning Service, where replacement care is arranged should a carer be unable to fulfil their caring role in the event of an emergency.
