Bluebird Care Winchester, Eastleigh & Romsey will raise vital funds for mental health charity Solent Mind after naming them as charity of the year

We are delighted to announce that Solent Mind will be our charity of the year as we strive to promote good mental health in the local area.

As part of this, we have planned a community fundraising programme to generate vital funds for Mind’s mental health support services, with the aim to empower people to lead a full life as part of their local community.

Mental health illness currently affects 1 in 4 people in the UK*. Bluebird Care therefore want to support our local community by working in partnership with Solent Mind to raise awareness of mental health and the local services that are available from the charity.

Our fundraising for Mind will have an extremely positive effect on people’s lives, and we can’t wait to get started.”

Jo Silsbury, Liaison Officer at Solent Mind, said: “Thank you to everyone at Bluebird Care for naming Solent Mind as their charity of the year. The funds raised will support the continued delivery of our free-to-access wellbeing services, and we are grateful to Bluebird Care for their support in increasing awareness of these."
