For many of our customers, the only person they see during the day is their Care Assistant and to raise awareness of loneliness, we visited customers during loneliness awareness week with a gift!

According to the Marmalade Trust, around 200,000 older people have not had a conversation with a friend or relative in more than a month.

Whilst Ann does not fall into this category, she has live-in care to provide ongoing support, however struggles to go out and visit people due to her health.

Ann's regular Live-in Care Assistant makes sure that she is able to continue with as much contact as possible and she was delighted to see us when we visited!

Loneliness and isolation is a particular challenge for many of our customers. Live-in care helps as it provides ongoing support, however we did want to do something to raise awareness during this week. In addition to the practical aspects of care, live-in care provides companionship that makes a big difference to the customer's wellbeing!
