Tonbridge, Edenbridge & Malling Mp Tom Tugendhat recently visited to learn more about our newly launched Premium Live-in Care service.

Tom said:
Many people with additional care needs prefer to live at home rather than move into a care home.

Bluebird Care and other similar companies do a fantastic job – their carers perform a vital role in our community, providing support to vulnerable people so they can continue to live in their own home, and relieving the pressures on care homes and the NHS.

This approach to providing high quality live-in care ensures that people can get the support they need, tailored to their requirements, and such services are incredibly valuable.
Our Premium Live-in Care Service provides vulnerable and elderly adults with round-the-clock care seven days a week. Care Assistants live with customers in their own homes, for anything from two weeks to ongoing long-term care and support.

Mr Tugendhat visited customer Joan along with her husband Sydney at their home in Tonbridge, and met with Care Assistant Anastasia.

The visit was an opportunity to learn more about how the company provides home care to people with age-related requirements, as well as live-in care for people with complex health needs such as dementia.

Nathan, Community Liaison Manager, said:

It was a great opportunity to be able to meet with Tom and we were pleased to offer him the chance to meet some of our customers and Care Assistants and learn more about our new Premium Live-in Care services.

Live-in care offers customers the reassurance of 24-hour care and support in the comfort of their own home, providing the right support with daily tasks, from assistance with cooking and cleaning, to ensuring customers take their medication and providing companionship.
Bluebird Care Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells customers Joan, 97, and her husband Sydney, 99, have already experienced the benefits of live-in care services.

Having taken on the role as Joan's full time carer after she suffered an illness, the demands of helping with her morning and evening routine, housework and being on hand to support her throughout the day got too much for Sydney and he contacted Bluebird Care for support.

Live in Care Assistant, Anastasia, ensures that Sydney and her are very well looked after, from preparing meals to helping with medication and housework.

Without this support, Joan would have had to move into a care home away from her husband Sydney. They live in the house that they build decades ago and we both have a lot of happy memories there.

Thanks to the live-in care service received, Joan can maintain her independence without needing to move to a care home.
