Announcing Our Care Assistant Of The Year

Published: 27/02/2017

We are delighted to have been joined by Cllr David neve and Mrs Jill Neve, Mayor and Mayoress of Tunbridge Wells recently to award Claudia with our Care Assistant of the year award!

Following our Every Visit Counts Campaign which raised awareness of the importance of the role of Care Assistants in combating loneliness, the award is a great achievement and creates an opportunity to celebrate and recognize excellence in care and highlight the importance of all those in a caring role.

Claudia, who chose to work in care because of her love of people was nominated following a survey with customers where she received the majority of votes from all customers.

Upon receiving the award, she commented:

I did not expect to be recognized in this way for a job that I enjoy doing every day. I am honoured to have been nominated Care Worker of the Year and would like to thank everyone who voted for me.

I know that I am part of a great team of Care Assistants here at Bluebird Care and am grateful in addition for all the support that they have provided since I started!
Claire, Care Manager explained that:

Claudia works very hard to make sure that all her customers’ needs are met and she always goes that little bit further to make sure they are well cared for. She is a real credit to my team and our company.

We have received so many compliments about Claudia’s excellent approach to her role and one customer in particular commented:

Claudia gets on so well with my husband and makes everything look so easy! She is so happy, cheerful and always takes time for a chat as well as providing care.
