“Bluebird have provided an excellent flexible service for my mum after she had a brief stay in hospital following a fall. The carers have shown Mum great respect and treated her with dignity as they were doing things for her she has always previously done for herself. They are professional but also have time to make mum feel comfortable with having carers assisting her. Management has been very approachable and keen to do whatever we need in terms of varying the level of cover once Mum became more able to do things for herself and encouraging her to try to do things to prepare her for becoming more independent again. Mum has commented on how lovely all the carers are who have helped her (and so young!).”

Stroke care – After a stroke about a third of people will develop aphasia. This condition affects communication skills such as speaking, reading, writing, and understanding. It does not affect a person’s intelligence and so can be very frustrating. Some people may experience a loss of memory or the ability to concentrate. Bluebird Care’s fully trained homecare staff use a range of different communication methods and tools to help the person express what they want.
