Some of the key aims of dementia-friendly parishes around the Yealm are to promote individual and community based activities for people with dementia and their carers, contribute to the development of sustainable inclusive social activities and services and ensure people with dementia and their families have a voice and are able to maintain, and where necessary, increase their social contacts within their local community.

Alexander and Bluebird Care have been pleased to provide thier time, meeting space and other resources to this exciting project, which encompasses Newton Ferrers, Noss Mayo, Holbeton, Yealmpton, Brixton and Wembury.
