An Inspector Called

Published: 06/08/2014

We were pleased to receive a glowing report from the home care watchdog, the Care Quality Commission, this summer with a big green tick for compliance across five areas of the service.

The inspection sought to see if the service was safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. The inspector spent three days between the office and customers’ homes talking with staff, customers and family members as well as doing a thorough audit of files and systems, with a specific focus on customers reciveing personal care.

Tracy Fitzgerald, our Registered Care Manager was confident that all was in order but you never can tell. Tracy said:

"I was delighted when the inspector left having told us we passed with flying colours."

The inspection report is indeed very complimentary quoting some customers stating the staff were:

"So kind, caring and helpful.” and that "They treat people as they should be treated.”

On leaving the office the inspector said to the team

"Never have I heard customers be so complimentary about a service. Everyone said they felt their dignity was respected. They are never rushed and they find the calibre of the staff exceptionally high.”

We are extremely proud of the team and the report and we continue to strive to improve our standards every day. Please go online and read the full report at www.cqc.org.uk
