Bluebird Care Lincoln have recently celebrated their 10th year providing care to the community.

The team at the leading home care provider, who is rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission - the highest rating available in the industry - marked the fantastic achievement with a small office party together ahead of a much larger celebration later this year.

Bluebird Care Lincolnshire was started by the Webber family, John, Yvonne, Victoria, and Harriet after a personal experience drew them to the world of social care. After Yvonne’s father had a stroke and required care, they approached a company seeking support. However, after a negative experience with this business they were left feeling like a care home was their only option, an outcome the family wanted to avoid.

After exploring their options further, they came across a Bluebird Care branch. This experience proved to be in complete contrast to their first and was the perfect care solution for the whole family. Yvonne’s father was, and continues to be, able to stay in the comfort of his own home, alongside his wife, enjoying many of the things he had done before his stroke. All this while receiving care and support from Bluebird Care whenever needed.

After witnessing the overwhelming impact Bluebird Care had made on her father’s life, Yvonne and John decided to enter the social care sector, eager to help as many people as they could in similar situations. And they have not looked back since.

Starting the company with less than ten people, they now own five Bluebird Care branches across North, East, and South Lincolnshire, Scarborough, and Harrogate, employing over 250 fantastic team members. As a result of this incredible feat, the Webber family and their teams were able to record a milestone achievement of one million care hours delivered to customers last year.

In typical fashion, Bluebird Care Lincolnshire have not rested on their laurels, and recently held an office charity raffle. This proved to be yet another big achievement in 2022 with the team raising £250 for the Lincolnshire Air Ambulance, a service that provides a vital service for people with serious injuries and illnesses in need of rapid transportation to A&E.

Reflecting on the progress of Bluebird Care Lincolnshire, Assistant Manager, Lisa Bidwell, said:

“Everyone in this company puts their heart into it, and this is what makes us unique. We are like a family: well bonded and strong together. Those values are what enables us to progress from a small company with only a few customers to now helping so many people. We love doing what we do and want to help as many people as we can.”

Speaking on what the home care provider means to them, a customer's family member added:

“I did a lot of research into care providers and top of my list came Bluebird Care. I have not been disappointed as they have been excellent from the initial assessment meeting. All the carers are first class and treat my father wonderfully well so far. I am very pleased with the choice of Bluebird Care Lincoln.”
