Dementia Awareness week 2016 George Yard Shopping Centre Braintree

Today our Braintree & Uttlesford office joined Braintree Dementia Action Alliance at George Yard Shopping Centre to raise awareness of Dementia.
It was wet and cold but everyone still had a great day and have sign posted a large number of people to excellent services in and around Braintree. We want to help support the alliance in raising 1,500 Dementia Friends by October 2016. A Dementia Friend learns a little bit more about what it's like to live with dementia and then turns that understanding into action - anyone of any age can be a Dementia Friend.We run Dementia Friends Information Sessions lead by Dementia Champions who are trained and supported by Alzheimer’s Society. Each Information Session lasts around one hour. You will learn more about dementia and how you can help to create dementia friendly communities.
