In a match that was more gripping than the final book of Harry Potter, The Stars faced their club-mates in a friendly yet fiercely competitive derby! 
The match was a feisty one, as the Stars played on their lucky pitch (but also the Flare's lucky pitch), where defeat has often been a stranger. With the clock ticking down and the scoreline not in our favour, it seemed like our fantastic home record could be under threat.
But in true Stars fashion, a dramatic twist was just around the corner.
As the referee was about to call time, Nancy delivered a masterful through ball. Maisie, with the poise of a seasoned pro, picked it up and deftly slipped it past the keeper - as the Spanish would say 'VAMINOS'!!!! With that goal The Stars secured a 1-1 draw in the nick of time. Talk about a last-minute thriller!
The opposition had set up a deep defence, throwing a spanner in our usual style of play. Our Stars found it challenging to carve out their usual rhythm and space. The opposition's chances seemed to come from lofty clearances that returned with a touch of frost!
On the subject of Nancy's strike that rattled the bar, the Coach said it was reminiscent of Frank Lampard's infamous 'goal' against Germany. Oh, how we wished for VAR in that moment!
Well done to both the Maisies who received 'Player's Player' (Maisie-GC) and 'Manager's Player' (Maisie-P) awards.
Well played to the Flares also - next time VAR will be on our side!
