Great Work Georgia!

We are very proud to announce that Georgia has been nominated for the Bluebird Care National Carer of the Year Award. The awards ceremony will be taking place at Fortnum & Mason this weekend.
We'd love to share with you why Georgia was nominated - it is a well deserved nomination for a wonderful person who epitomises the saying 'going above and beyond'.
"Georgia has been faced with some challenging situations over the past year. Back in March, when arriving at one of her regular customer’s homes, she found them to be not breathing. On advice from 999 she managed to safely manoeuvre them out of their wheelchair onto the floor and perform CPR until the paramedics arrived and took over.
Unfortunately, they passed away. Georgia remained to support the paramedics and police with needed information. She wouldn’t leave until family arrived so that they would not be left alone. Earlier in the year, one of Georgia's customers that had no family or friends become suddenly very ill and was taken to hospital. We were all informed that they were now end of life with only hours left. Georgia didn’t want them to pass away by themselves, so she went to the hospital and sat with them holding their hand for hours until they passed.
Georgia really embraces the Bluebird care values, she is kind and caring, professional, and respectful, fun, and passionate. But most of all she is supportive with the customers, families and all the staff."
GOOD LUCK GEORGIA - WE ARE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU!!
