Follow Cynthia's journey from Care Assistant to Customer Service Manager...

When her previous employer would not support her with training and progression, Cynthia quit. "They wanted to keep their carers as carers," she notes with a sigh.

She sought out a local computer course that helped her gain the necessary IT skills so she could move into an office role. From her first interview with Joanna, Cynthia says, "I declared my intention to further my career. Bluebird Care is a company that nurtures talent from within so I knew it was the right fit."

Cynthia went from Care Assistant in 2019 to Supervisor and was encouraged to consider the role of Customer Service Manager by Krisztina. "She put the thought into my head and encouraged me. I'm now studying for my Level 4!"

"I might never have considered the role of Customer Service Manager as I was very happy as a Supervisor; I love to encourage our carers to be the best they can be. But Krisztina planted the idea and it has grown into a brand new role that I love!"

When we asked Cynthia why she loves the home care industry she said,

"Helping people is in my DNA. I'm on a quest - in fact, I think the team at Bluebird Care Westminster is on a quest - to change the perception of care. It is a highly skilled profession. I want that skill, devotion and passion to be acknowledged and respected on a larger scale."

"If you share this passion and are keen to progress, speak to your supervisor or get in touch with Joanna or Krisztina. Begin your journey today!"

If you're not unsure about progressing, you can reach out to Cynthia. "I would love to share more of my journey with you. I will be your cheerleader and encourage you in your growth. I wasn't sure about moving into the CSM's role but you never know what could happen until you try."

In her spare time, this keen mystery solver can be found watching 'old school' detective series from Miss Marple and Poirot to Midsomer Murders.
