Bluebird Care finds great staff from within, friends and family recommendations make up 50% of current staff
As Bluebird Care looks to grow their team as the service moves from strength to strength it has been looking within to find new team members.Manager, Tracy Hipkin, says:
finding great new team members is always tough. Carework is challenging and takes a very specific attitude and work ethic. The hours are demanding but also flexible with early mornings and evenings being our busiest times. We have found that family and friend recommendations has been a huge success, with nearly 50% of our Plymouth team are related to or a close friend of someone else. It’s a big family we all get on well and everyone chips in and pulls together to help each other out.”
Team member Summer says:
I've got my sister Charlotte and my Aunty Sue to join the team. I work from 07:00 – 14:00 during the week and 1 full weekend in 2. It’s is a big family we all get on well and everyone chips in and pulls together to help each other out. The job is so rewarding. I make a difference to people’s lives every day. Not everyone can say that can they? I was a bit nervous how Charlotte and Sue would find it I need not have worried they love it more than me!"
