On Friday 20th May 2016, the team at Bluebird Care Newmarket and Fenland were delighted to participate in raising money for the Make May Purple campaign. Staff donated £2.00 each and wore purple for the day. Cakes were also available throughout the day for the team to enjoy, all raising money for the Stroke Association.

The Stroke Association is the UK’s leading stroke charity. They work directly with stroke survivors, their families and carers; with health and social care professionals; and with scientists and researchers. Make May Purple encouraged people to take part by either baking, wearing or planting purple, as a way to raise awareness and show support for the great work that the Stroke Association does.

Carolyn Dailey, director of Bluebird Care Newmarket & Fenland, commented on the success their event:

We were happy to participate in the Make May Purple campaign for the Stroke Association this year and as a team we managed to raise a total of £79. This campaign has given communities the opportunity the show support for the charity and help raise essential funds for this important cause.”
We would like to thank all of our staff from Bluebird Care Newmarket & Fenland for taking part and helping us raise awareness.
