Bluebird Care (Medway) is supporting Dementia Awareness Week 2019
The wonderful West End Wednesdays Choir singing "This is Me"
This week is Dementia Awareness and both Bluebid Care (Medway) and Bluebird Care (Swale) have been giving their support to this very worthy cause.
This started with a Dementia Friendly Musical Evening held last Saturday in Sittingbourne. This was sponsored by Bluebird Care (Swale) and arranged by our own Care Co-ordinator, Catherine Randall, and she also pulled in her lovely friends from the West End Wednesdays Singing Group.
It was a wonderful evening, thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended, and £340 was raised for the Alzheimers Society.
Just one of the amazing songs they sang was 'This is Me' from the the new musical 'The Greatest Showman.
IF MY WORDS DON'T COME OUT RIGHT ...... I MIGHT NOT REMEMBER YOU ...... I MIGHT NOT RECALL YOUR NAME ...... I MIGHT BE LIVING WITH DEMENTIA BUT THERE IS MORE TO A PERSON WITH DEMENTIA.
This is Dementia Action Week - It is not just about awareness. It is about action to make the real change and together we can do this!
