CQC are currently running a project to better understand how organisations in the health & social care sector across Hackney view quality. The purpose of this is to create a shared vision for delivering, recording and analysing quality across the borough.

Bluebird Care Islington & Hackney were invited to represent the domiciliary care sector and as such take part in this project. Director Michael Hackett recently attended a review meeting The Hackney Perspective, at CQC headquarters. This meeting focused on understanding a shared view of quality, with a number of speakers including senior representatives from the CQC and the NHS, and our very own director of Bluebird Care Islington & Hackney, Michael Hackett.

After speaking at the event, Michael commented:

I spoke passionately about the importance of a quality focused approach to domiciliary care and the challenges in delivering the services against challenging budgets and resources across the sector.
