2022 Awards recognising our outstanding care staff

Congratulations go to Rhiann Davies and Bibiana Correra Restrepo for their nomination and 2022 award of team member and carer of the year.

Team member of the year - Rhiann Davies

Rhiann came to Bluebird Care as a Care Assistant with a lot of experience and quickly slotted in well to the team. It was only when we asked her to help for a few days in the office covering some supervisory duties that her strengths really became apparent and she quickly progressed to the Care Supervisor role, Rhiann simply hasn’t looked back. 

Working at a fast pace with great accuracy, Rhiann has become such an asset to the team. Earlier in the year Rhiann was involved in a project to change processes to improve our ability to manage compliance. The project was a great success and in no small way thanks to Rhiann’s involvement. 

Nothing is ever too much for Rhiann, she is a great team member, is respected by everyone and her care team feel heard and supported . Rhiann's ability to sell the Bluebird Care brand and win new customers is unrivalled.   

We are so happy to congratulate Rhiann and acknowledge her true commitment. 

Bibi Care Assistant of the year - Bibiana Correra Restrepo

Bibiana left a long career at Sainsbury’s to follow her long held passion to work in social care. Initially joining us on a part time basis as a care assistant, Bibiana was so conscientious throughout her induction training, but she was also quite nervous, being completely new to a care role. Once out there with her customers, and through her shadow shifts, Bibiana grew quickly in confidence and stature, and to say that she has never looked back is an understatement. 

Bibiana absolutely loves her customers, and it is totally reciprocated - her customers absolutely adore her. Known throughout the business as ‘Bibi’ she has time for everyone, she is incredibly helpful and supportive whatever the situation. 

Bibi really is a true treasure and such an asset to our team and to the Bluebird Care brand. As soon as Bibi was sure that she had made the right career change, she increased her hours and is now with us on a full-time basis.
