Our Charity of the Year is Woking and Sam Beare Hospices

We are delighted to announce that our chosen charity of the year for 2016 is Woking and Sam Beare Hospices. Being our charity of the year means that we will be holding various fundraising events throughout the year with all proceeds going to the hospice.

Woking Hospice was opened in December 1996 to provide end of life care and support for patients and their families living in central Surrey. Sam Beare Hospice was re-opened in 2006 under the management of Woking Hospice and they provide services to North Surrey.

Both Hospices are separate registered charities and the running costs of both comes to a staggering £8 million per year. They do not charge for their services – all patient care is entirely free, and this is why it is so important to hold events to help fundraise for them.
