February is Heart Month and this year the British Heart Foundation are urging people to take healthy steps to help improve their heart health as well as support their annual fundraiser, Wear it. Beat it. on 5th February 2016. The day encourages people to ‘get red everywear’ in aid of the British Heart Foundation. We are helping to win the fight for every heartbeat by raising money to help the British Heart Foundation in:

  • Finding treatments that transform the lives of people with heart disease
  • Supporting over 1,000 pioneering research projects on heart and cardiovascular disease
  • Supporting BHF healthcare professionals to care for people

There are currently seven million people in the UK living with cardiovascular disease, which includes heart attack and stroke. However, in many cases people can help reduce their risk of these conditions by improving their diet, doing more physical activity and quitting smoking.

Staff at Bluebird Care Slough, S. Bucks & S. Wycombe will be wearing red on Friday 5th February to increase awareness and fundraise for the British Heart Foundation.

Commenting, Ian Inglis, Director of Bluebird Care Slough, S. Bucks & S. Wycombe said:

All of us in the Burnham office are supporting Heart Month and the Wear it. Beat it. campaign. Heart and circulatory disease affects so many people, and we feel strongly about raising awareness in our community about lifestyle and health changes that can reduce the impact of heart disease - as well as raising money for this amazing organisation.”
