Working in Partnership with Redditch and Bromsgrove Talking Newspaper

We are pleased to share that Care Bromsgrove & Redditch are working in partnership with the Redditch and Bromsgrove Talking Newspaper, a fantastic local charity publishing a weekly 'Talking Newspaper.' This enables those who are sight impaired, as well as those who may struggle to turn the pages of a newspaper, to listen to the local news.

Our Lead Supervisor, Katy, has been busy demonstrating the USB player to our Customers, proving to be a great opportunity to work in partnership with local charities to enhance the quality of life of our Customers, and also a way of facilitating activities that our Customers may no longer be able to do.

The Talking Newspaper is a completely free of charge service, produced and run by a team of volunteers. It can be accessed via a USB memory stick with a special USB player, via Alexa and also via the Facebook Page. There's lots to listen to including local news, events, helpful advice and quizzes.
