John & Diane Jones

Owners

Bluebird Care (Bromsgrove & Redditch) is led by John & Diane Jones. John & Diane started delivering homecare in Bromsgrove & Redditch to help support customers in the area to receive homecare and support while remaining in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Delivering the highest quality of homecare and support is John and Diane's absolute goal and the team would be delighted to hear from anyone who is seeking homecare for themselves or for a loved one, or would simply like to talk to someone about the services we provide.

Katy Thompson

Support supervisor

Katy joined the care sector in 2009 before joining us at Bluebird Care in 2015. Katy continues to be a compassionate carer and when the roles for a Support supervisor come up in 2018, Katy was keen to take this opportunity to provide more support for our customers. 

In Katy’s free time she enjoys being involved in charitable events and has previously done parachuting for a Dementia charity and most recently abseiling. 

She loves working as part of the Bluebird Care team and strives to provide the highest quality person-centred care. Katy enjoys providing the carers with extra support in the community so they can provide the best support to the customers. Her training includes NVQ 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care and has also trained for the award in Education which enables her to run training courses. Katy now covers the Redditch and surrounding areas as a Support Supervisor, with her knowledge she is able to support and monitor carers and customers alike.

Michelle Done

Registered Care Manager

Michelle brings to the team a wealth of experience in both care and organising ability having been a Care Worker and Co-ordinator. Her expertise ranges across Recruitment, Health and Safety, Risk Assessment, Care Planning, Budgetary Control and Management of our care workers on a day to day basis as well as managing a young family.

Michelle's personal target is to put all of her skills, knowledge and experience to ensuring Bluebird Care (Bromsgrove & Redditch) provides the highest standards of care to all our customers, both current and future, delivered by our friendly and dedicated team of professional care workers and office staff.
 

Samantha Ward

Lead Care Supervisor

Sam joined us to work part time as a carer, allowing her to start a career in care but still spend time with her husband and two children. After a period of time it was obvious that her talents were directed along with her experience of care towards the role of Coordinator. When a position of Support Coordinator was available, Sam was the obvious choice and proved so in her interview. She has taken to the role in a short period of time, assisting the Lead Coordinator in the organising and running of the customer visits to ensure total customer/carer compatibility. 

Sam continues to bloom and is now promoted to Care Supervisor, sharing all her experience with the team.

Jennie Bradley

Care Supervisor

Jennie has been with us since 2013 as a carer and took on the supervisor role in April 2015. Before joining us Jennie was running a business along with her husband. She had not done care in the community before, but had looked after her mother after she was diagnosed with dementia. This was the start of a career in Care for Jenny. From joining us as a carer she has taken all in her stride, making great progress in a short period of time, understanding customer needs and requirements.

Her training has included her attending advanced courses in medication, health and safety, risk assessment along with dementia leadership to name a few. She now covers the Bromsgrove and surrounding areas as a Support Supervisor dealing with customers and carers alike.

Joanne Thompson

Care Co-ordinator

Michelle is aided by our Care Co-ordinator Joanne Thompson, who comes with six years' experience in the care industry delivering care. She is also, usually the first person people speak to when telephoning the office. Joanne is ably assisted by Lucy Mansell our Care Co-ordinator. Between them, they ensure that the call times are met and that the care worker - customer suitability and continuity is maintained whever possible.
