Laura Brave's The Shave!!

Our fabulous Care Assistant Laura Richardson braved the shave last month and chopped off her glorious red locks in aid of charity. You can still donate to this fantastic cause, read her story here....
We all know how much my hair means to me and if i was to shave it then I wanted to raise money for charity. My own children lost their Dad to cancer and I also have had friends that have had cancer and due to them having chemo, they lost their hair. I have always wanted to do Brave the Shave and some how talked myself out of it... But this year I decided that I was going to do it!
I spoke to the Bluebird Care Bath Office and they were fully behind me, so I put it on Facebook and decided August 10th was the date!!
On that day I was still unsure if I was able to go through with it... so to stop myself from talking myself out of it, I grabbed my shaver and went straight through my hair and there was no turning back! I felt so pleased that I managed to do it, I am unsure of how much I have raised as I'm still collecting sponser money.
