Care Assistants at Bluebird Care Bath have begun to receive their COVID-19 vaccines as the specialist live-in care provider continues to prioritise the safety of their customers and team members.

62 team members have now been vaccinated against the virus, with the remaining employees set to receive their jabs in the coming days.

Bluebird Care Bath say they have never been more focused on protecting customers from COVID-19 and are actively encouraging and promoting the uptake of the vaccine amongst all of their team members.

Laura, a Bluebird Care Bath care worker has described her experience of receiving the vaccine:

“I had my vaccine at the RUH,  and they asked me all the relevant questions. It was very quick, and I'm already looking forward to having my second dose soon. I already feel much safer at work, and the customers are feeling better as well.”

Speaking of the successful uptake of the vaccine, Tim Rowland-Jones, Managing Director of Bluebird Care Bath, said:

“It’s important that we offer our complete support to everyone within our wonderful care team and this support extends to when they receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Our job is to protect our customers physical and mental wellbeing and we’re now doing the same for our staff too. The majority of our team have now had their first vaccinations and we’re immensely proud of them.”

The care provider is also actively recruiting new team members and are encouraging all those who are interested in a career in care to find out more information at www.bluebirdcarecareers.co.uk/locations/bath/current-vacancies or by calling 01225 982384.
