An act of Kindness

We were given a challenge by one of our Carers and with the help of our care supervisor and a local family, we were able to help!

Our Carer Irina has been working in a package of Live - in Care and her time working with her current customer was coming to an end, we offered her another customer who needed to be discharged from hospital to live independently within their own home, which she was more than hapy to accept.

One problem. This customer unfortunately lived in the middle of nowhere within our territory, and because Irina didn't have a car, she needed a bike to get to and from the local shop to buy essentials. Our Care Supervisor Jodie was up to the task and posted on local facebook groups to see if anyone could assist, along comes the local Tandy family who are more than happy to loan a bike to Irina!

Jodie organises the pick up and we manage to get the bike to Irina, as you can see from the lovely photo Irina sent us.

We sent the Tandy family a thank you card as their act of kindness is so very appreciated and has helped ensure that our Carer is able to continue working and looking after those who need it most!
