We are extremely pleased and proud to announce that Leigh McDonald, our National Live in Care Lead, and Ellis Lyons, our Care Supervisor are starting their Train the Trainer in the Gold Standard Framework end of life care.

The GSF domiciliary care training programme , first piloted in 2010 , has been designed  for use in domiciliary care agencies to increase the knowledge, expertise and confidence of care assistants delivering home care, with the aim of enabling more people to die in their preferred place of care and not to be admitted to hospital inappropriately.

It builds on and reflects the other GSF programmes, particularly those used in primary care and care homes, to enable domiciliary care assistants to better understand end of life care and how they are an integral part of the complete care team required by people at the end of life.

Our aim is to provide the dignity and respect every person deserves in all aspects and at every stage of life including end of life.

Each of our care assistants will receive training accredited to the Gold Standard Framework.
