The types of care we offer

Our home and live-in care packages are perfect for those that want to maintain their independence and do not want to move to a residential home. The types of care we offer are as follows:

  • Live-in Care - with live-in care the care assistant lives in with you in your own home and is therefore available to assist you within living the life you choose. Our live-in care packages offer the reassurance of 24 hour care*, as well as the ability to build a strong bond with your carer.
  • Domiciliary Care - This is available to be booked as 'visits' of 30 - 60 mins in duration. We can offer the following services:
    • Personal Care
    • Helping with getting ready for the day ahead or at night time
    • Social outings
    • Household chores
    • Mealtime preparation and assistance
    • Support with medication; remind and assist you in taking medicines, as well as collect or return medication from your pharmacy or dispensing GP surgery.
  • Night Care - We offer something called 'reverse live-in' which is where a carer lives in with you, and stays awake at night to offer any care required. This is particularly valuable support for those who suffer from restless sleep, or 'sundowning'.

"Bluebird has helped support my mother for over a year now. They have always turned up, even given the challenges of the pandemic. I was pleased to see the HQ updates too on care in the pandemic. My sister and I have real confidence in the standard of professional service provided. I can also vouch for the courtesy and flexibility, where possible, of the office and management.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this company and the Haywards Heath office in particular to anyone looking for help and support. My sister and I are very glad that we are with Bluebird and thank them for all they do."

"Bluebird Care (Sussex Weald) has been providing personal care support to our elderly father for over three years. During this time his dependency has increased and his care needs have intensified. Throughout this period the agency has provided consistency in staffing, which we believe to be essential, at the same time offering flexibility. The advice and support staff give to us, his family, has been valued highly and their experiences and observations are always helpful in resolving potential problems. We feel that our father is being well cared for as a family, thanks to the assistance of his Bluebird team and we feel confident that this can continue for the foreseeable future. Being able to remain in his own home is extremely important to our father and Bluebird Care's role facilitates this. We are grateful and pleased that this is the case."

7. Stroke care – After a stroke about a third of people will develop aphasia. This condition affects communication skills such as speaking, reading, writing, and understanding. It does not affect a person’s intelligence and so can be very frustrating. Some people may experience a loss of memory or the ability to concentrate. Bluebird Care’s fully trained homecare staff use a range of different communication methods and tools to help the person express what they want. Learn more about the specialist care we can offer to those recovering from a stroke here.
