We want to say a fond farewell and a happy retirement to Chris Beddis, one of our longest serving care assistants.

Chris Beddis, one of our longest serving care assistants, has hung up her uniform and has recently retired from Bluebird Care Worcester and Wychavon.

Chris has been a valued member of the Bluebird Care team for over 9 years, supporting very many customers througout her journey.  Chris joined Bluebird Care Worcester and Wychavon in the early days, but her caring journey started almost 22 years ago, in the community, as part of West Midlands Ambulance Service and then working in a Care Home.

In 2016 we were delighted when Chris was named Regional Carer of the Year in the inaugural Bluebird Care national awards, an honour that we as well as Chris will always cherish.  Chris has also been a great dementia friend and has supported the Evesham Dementia Action Alliance for several years.

In Chris's own words, "I have very fond memories, caring for hundreds of customers during my time and have made a great many friends along the way.  There have been highs and lows but I can honestly say the highs outweigh the lows, and what fun we have had."

Chris moves happily into retirement to pursue her passion for wildlife photography, and also to pursue her 'new career' as a top-class chocolatier, producing her own mouth watering sweets and chocolates under her brand 'Ottilie Scrumptious'. Look out the name!

We would like to thank Chris for her years of service and wish her a very happy retirement.
