Bluebird Care Worcester and Wychavon team work has been rewarded by a grateful family for helping out in an emergency and going that extra mile.

The team were suprised today to recieve a lovely gift of chocolate goodies from a very grateful family.  Their elderly Mum developed Covid-19 and needed to be hospitalised.  Unfortunately, Dad, was unable to stay in the home on his own so was also taken into hospital for respite.

Everything happened so quickly that the family were unable to get everything organised in time, so Bluebird Care stepped in.  Linda, one of our newest Care Assistants was happy to tidy up the house when they left, for their return from hospital and she purchased some food items for them with her own money.  Meanwhile, they had not been able to organise clothes and other items for hospital so Andy, our Care Manager, organised a bag and dropped it off at the hospital for them to make life a bit easier for them whilst they were in hospital.

Now safely back in the comfort of their own home, Andy will be going back to the hospital to retrieve items that were left behind by the hospital transport.

A family member wrote, " To Andy and all Bluebird Care Staff, thank you so much for everything that you have done for Mum and Dad"

Whilst we will always go that extra mile to help out if we can, it is so lovely to be appreciated and rewarded in this way!
