Memories 2019

Now in its third year, we held our 2019 Memories Day for our customers with a 1960/70s theme.

Now in its third year, we held our 2019 Memories Day for our customers with a 1960/70s theme. Weather outside unfortunately was not great but we made up for it within the church with varied entertainment, fun, laughter, positivity, music and ending with good food. Below are some comments about the event from customers and their family:

- To watch my mam who has middle stage dementia sit at a piano and start to play it was hard to believe as she had not done it in 15 years.
- I enjoyed every minute and loved entertaining people and singing songs and playing the guitar. I look forward to next year when I will be 100 years.
- Husband of a customer said it was lovely watching his wife smile, sing and clap her hands. She also ate some food which she would not normally do.
- Another customer said that she enjoyed the company and liked listening to the old songs as well as listening to music.

I believe we all, customers, their family and our staff enjoyed the togetherness, friendship and community spirit that the event brought together.
