Bluebird Care Southend & Rochford has raised over £500 for Havens Hospices
Bluebird Care Southend & Rochford has raised over £500 for Havens Hospices, a local charity that provides palliative and supportive care to children and young people with life-limiting conditions.

We are very grateful to Bluebird Care Southend & Rochford for their generous donation and their visit. It was a pleasure to show them around and to share our vision of ‘Making every day count’ for the children and young adults we care for. We rely on the support of our local community to provide our services, and we truly appreciate the work of Bluebird Care and their team.
The leading local home care provider hosted a series of events over the past year, such as dressing up for their annual ‘Southend Halloween Parade’ and running the annual ‘Run Santa Run’, to show their support for the hospice charity, raising a total of £540.20.
Kellie Woodcraft, Registered Manager of Bluebird Care Southend & Rochford, along with two of her team members, Jeanette Costin and Sharon Wuyts, visited Little Havens children’s hospice and presented their hard-earned donations in a cheque to members of the hospice Fundraising team, Susie May and Rossella Inguscio. They also had a tour of the centre and its facilities, including six acres of greenspace with wheelchair-accessible play equipment, and a beautiful ‘Fairy Garden’, designed to make children and their families feel as comfortable and ‘at home’ as possible.
The Bluebird Care team was deeply moved by their visit to the Little Havens. They know what it means to provide care and support for people who are living with complex and incurable conditions, and share the same values of compassion, respect, and dignity while providing essential services to the community. The team left with a deep appreciation of the work of the Hospice team, and a determination to continue their fundraising efforts to support the families and children connected to the local Hospice.
