One of our ladies scoops "Best in the South West"

We are pleased to announce that our very own Myra Jones has won the award for "Best Carer in the South West" at the inaugural network award ceremony!

The judges all felt that Myra's positive attitude was remarkable and infectious - it is difficult to be anything but happy when Myra is around.  She works hard to make sure customers are not just comfortable, but having a good time, too.  She is constanly coming up with new jokes, games or songs to sing!

The panel of judges included:

David Brindle.  Public Services Editor, The Guardian
As part of the recognition of Myra's efforts, she accompanied Jack up to London to Fortnum & Mason's for the award ceremony and a selection of delicious cakes and scones.
All of us at Bluebird Care (South Glos) are incredibly proud of Myra and delighted to see her efforts being suitably recognised.  That said, we are not remotely surprised that it was one of our members of staff that won the award for "Best in the South West" as we have such a fantastic team. 

It really could have been any one of a number of people.  In fact, the whole team deserves congratualting on their achievements in brightening up peoples lives across South Gloucestershire.
