"My journey into Health and Social Care started in 2010 when I was 21 years old. It was by complete chance; I had no idea what care was at the time and what it entailed, I questioned whether it was something I was capable of doing as all my previous working experience was in the retail sector.

I soon realised how providing person-centred care, delivered with love, compassion and empathy can have an impact on an individual’s way of life, these are traits I’ve adopted from my faith as a Sikh. I was going home feeling good knowing I’ve made a difference to someone’s life.

My commitment towards providing a great caring experience was later recognised and I gained further knowledge, experience, and qualifications across various roles.

I am now the Business Development Manager at Bluebird Care South Gloucestershire, a role I thoroughly enjoy doing representing an outstanding care provider. I am able to apply my passion and expertise in everything I do and take great satisfaction in supporting my colleagues and our service users as well as implementing new processes and an innovative mindset towards the planning and delivery of the support services we provide to ensure the individuals we support receive the best care experience possible.
