Local award winner homecare provider Bluebird Care South Gloucestershire is hosting a 1940’s themed World War II Tea dance for all their customers, families and care assistants. The dance will take place in Chipping Sodbury Baptist Church on Thursday 8th August at 2.30pm. You’ll know you’re at the right venue if you spot a couple of 1940’s classic vehicles outside, perhaps even a WWII tank!

This is a FREE event which supports a dementia friendly Chipping Sodbury. All donations from the Tea Dance will be going to the Alzheimer’s Society and the local Oasis Memory CafĂ©.

Period dress is highly recommended, this is the 1940’s after all! Dig out that polka dot dress!

We have an exclusive Musical Dance Psychotherapist who will be orchestrating the tea dance with much loved old-time songs.

And of course, a dance wouldn’t be complete without tea, cakes and biscuits for all!  Supplied with the invitations, guests will receive a ration book with which you can spend on your refreshments.

Support those living with dementia by taking a trip down memory lane.

Don’t miss our exciting day of Boogie-Woogie, wartime songs and afternoon tea!

If you'd like to come along, please RSVP by 5th August to our South Gloucestershire office. If you'd like to come along but need extra support in attending, please contact our office and we can help arrange transport.
