Bluebird Care Gateshead raises money for Age UK

On Friday 19th June Bluebird Care Gateshead took part in the Age UK’s ‘Big Chinwag’ event to raise funds to help tackle loneliness in later life.
Age UK report that more than a million older people in the UK go for a month or more without seeing or speaking to anyone. We want to do everything possible to stop people feeling isolated and alone, so on Friday 19th June Bluebird Care Gateshead took part in the Age UK’s ‘Big Chinwag’ event to raise funds to help tackle loneliness in later life.We invited our friends and the local community to join us for a chat along with a cup of tea and a delicious piece of cake. We had great fun over a game of bingo and a tough quiz set by Age UK. The event was a great success and we managed to raise nearly £60 for Age UK.
