A right royal knees up!

Bluebird Care Fareham hosted a tea party for its customers and staff to celebrate the Queen’s platinum Jubilee. Staff went all out with the party, which included music, games and afternoon tea.

The celebrations started with a delicious afternoon tea served on real China tea sets. Guests were entertained with a professional singer, getting everyone in the mood with lots of classics to sing-along to.

As a local homecare service provider, Bluebird Care Fareham are aware how challenging it can be for customers to get out and about, especially if they have mobility issues. So to ensure no one missed out, they arranged for transport with Care Assistants collecting customers in their own cars.

One customer commented:

“I haven’t been out in a while and this has been a wonderful afternoon, I’ve really enjoyed myself.”

The afternoon ended on a high with a few rounds of Jubilee Bingo, and many winners walking away with various prizes of sweet treats and jubilee souvenirs.

Owner and Director, Gabi Sprechert, was immensely proud to see everyone in attendance and enjoying themselves. Sharing her own feelings Gabi said:

“It was truly heart-warming to see so many happy faces joining in with the celebrations and spending time together outside of their usual home environment. It’s been an incredible afternoon with staff and customers socialising, singing along to the songs, and some winning at bingo! To see the connection that the carers have with the customers is so special.”
