Introducing Live-in Care Assistant Monica!

We recently spent some time with Live-in Care Assistant Monica, who told us a little bit more about why she chose to work in care.

We would like to thank Monica for allowing us to share a bit of her story and are delighted to be able to tell you a little more about her background!

Monica currently supports her live-in care customer Liz, whom she has been with for just under five months.

Monica initially chose to work in care because she used to support her grandmother in Romania and she realised it was a brilliant opportunity to give something back.

For Monica, working in care runs in the family as her cousin also works in care. She works in Spain ant this is also where Monica's first ever live-in care customer was.

Monica explained that her first customer was really nice and they used to enjoy the times spent going out, having a chat and a laugh together.

For Monica, this is a much better option than a care home as it means that you can build a relationship and really support on a one-to-one basis.

Before joining the Bluebird Care team, Monica lived in London for five years where she worked in a variety of caring roles including as a Community Care Assistant and Live-in Care Assistant.

She chose to join the Bluebird Care team here in Rother & Hastings however, as it was a pleasant change to where she had been before!
