Our commitment to you

We believe care matters. Bluebird Care Lancaster and South Lakeland is a small family business dedicated to providing high quality homecare and live-in care services.

The Bluebird Care brand has grown to be the market leader across the UK. Our commitment to delivering the services you want, how you want them, in the comfort of your own home is stronger now than ever.

What makes our homecare and live-in care services different? Simply, that we put you, the customer first. Our aim is to provide the standard of care that we would want for our own families. This means valuing the unique qualities of each customer and seeing the whole person, not just a list of care needs.

Our services are flexible and respond to your changing priorities and needs. We work together with families to keep our customers in control of their own care as far as they are able. That’s why we always listen carefully to what you tell us about how you want to receive your care and support.

We keep in regular contact, so that you soon get to know the team at your local Bluebird Care UK office. Building a relationship that you can trust and rely upon is central to how we manage our business.

Our compliments, concerns, and complaints procedure

Bluebird Care Lancaster and South Lakeland welcomes all of your feedback because this helps us to improve our services.  We have an open procedure for managing any concerns and complaints.  All of our homecare and live-in care customers receive a copy of our Complaints Procedure when their service starts.  They also receive a copy of our Customer Guide, which sets out in detail what our customers can expect from us.  We make sure that that you are in no doubt about how to voice any concerns that may arise or indeed to give us any positive feedback.

Confirming the quality of our homecare service

Our office team will regularly check if you are satisfied with the services you receive from us. We share this information with the national regulator for homecare services, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).  The CQC has responsibility for making sure homecare services meet the requirements of the law and meet fundamental standards of quality and safety. The CQC carries out periodic inspections to check our services.  As part of these checks they may directly ask our customers for feedback.

We are also members of the  Home Care Association, the organisation that helps home care agencies to achieve high standards of care and support.
