Regulated, professional care

We are regularly inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England. Our most recent inspection was rated 'Good', with no areas of concern identified. We are also audited annually by Bluebird Care UK and were recently awarded the Gold Standard of Compliance, recognising our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care.

High Sheriff Award

A High Sheriff's Award is an honour granted by a High Sheriff to an individual or organisation to recognise work they have done for the local community. We were so honored to receive this award in 2024 in recognition of our hard work over the past 10 years.

Stars of Social Care Awards

We were delighted to be selected as finalists at the Stars of Social Care Awards 2025, a national celebration of excellence across the care sector. Our Owner, David, attended the event alongside our Head of Recruitment, Shelley, with television presenter Josie Gibson hosting the evening.

Bluebird Care Awards

The Bluebird Care Awards celebrate outstanding achievements across the Bluebird Care network.

In 2025, our Care Expert, Louise Harrison, who has been with us for 10 years, was a finalist for the Dementia Champion Award, recognising her exceptional support for a customer living with mixed dementia.

It was also a record-breaking year for our team, with five finalist nominations. Our Head of Recruitment, Shelley Weston, and Care Supervisor, Sonya McCormick, were both finalists for the Community Engagement Award.

In 2024, our longest-serving Care Expert, Tash Perry, who has been with us since the business opened in 2014, was selected as a finalist for Care Expert of the Year, a truly well-deserved recognition.

Worcestershire Health and Social Care Awards

Over the years, we have proudly celebrated success at the Worcestershire Health and Social Care Awards.

In 2025, we were thrilled to win the Domiciliary Care Team Award. Previous achievements include our Care Supervisor, Sonya McCormick, winning Domiciliary Care Worker of the Year in 2023, alongside our Care Expert, Trish. Several members of our team have also been shortlisted as finalists over the years.

Great British Care Awards

As a team, we were proud finalists in 2025 for the Home Care Employer Award. In addition, three of our Care Experts were recognised as finalists in the Putting People First, Home Care Newcomer, and Home Care Worker categories.

In 2025, we worked with Bluebird Care to organise a surprise award for our Director, David, recognising his outstanding commitment to supporting the local community and his ongoing charitable work.

David has been a dedicated supporter of the Molly Olly's Wishes charity, founded in 2012 by his sister and brother-in-law following the heartbreaking loss of their daughter, Molly, to cancer in 2008, aged just eight.

Since its launch, Molly Olly's Wishes has raised more than £5.7 million, helping over 21,500 children and their families through wishes, gifts and therapeutic support. The charity has granted more than 5,500 wishes and funded significant initiatives, including a Paediatric Palliative Care Consultant and a purpose-built palliative care facility at Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Since 2021, David has also taken on an annual cycling challenge, cycling over 700 miles to raise funds and awareness for the charity. His dedication reflects the values we strive to uphold every day here at Bluebird Care.
