Bluebird Care Hillingdon has celebrated its 10-year anniversary of providing exceptional care to the Hillingdon community.

Taking place at the Uxbridge Golf Club, the event marked 10 years since the home care provider first started providing care to the community in May 2012. Marking the milestone, Care Assistants were joined by their customers and family members who enjoyed a selection of sweet treats and enjoyable entertainment from local performers. Reflecting on the event, one customer thanked the office for creating a “very special day out”.

The leading home care provider first opened its doors after Alvin Osei-Tutu, Director of Bluebird Care Hillingdon, was driven to provide quality home care to people in the local community. The care provider has since delivered over 600,000 visits to help more than 1,000 customers receive care from the comfort of their own homes.

Starting his career in the service industry, Alvin’s vision for providing members of the community with person-centred care had humble beginnings. He personally delivered leaflets in the local area to raise awareness of the new care offering for Hillingdon and gradually built a reputation for excellence as a care provider and employer. The office has since been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission as a testament to the quality care they provide.

Now employing over 80 Care Assistants who care for more than 130 customers, Bluebird Care Hillingdon has become a local institution for care. The success of the office has also enabled Alvin to open a number of other franchises across London and the South East, with offices in Havering, Thurrock & Castle Point, and Northwood & Ruislip.

Committed to continuing to offer meaningful careers to local people while ensuring that more people can access their services, Bluebird Care Hillingdon has a number of vacancies open for those considering working in social care.

Speaking of the event to celebrate the special anniversary, Alvin Osei-Tutu said:

Since opening Bluebird Care Hillingdon in May 2012, we have been driven by one purpose: to deliver exceptional care that is truly personalised to the needs and preferences of all our customers. Our remarkable success has been down to the selfless efforts of our team members, both past and present, and I am grateful for the fantastic care they have delivered. Over a decade of service, our Care Assistants have delivered vital support to members of the community and continued to do so during the global pandemic despite the immense pressures and challenges of this period. I would like to thank all those who attended our special event, including Mayor Roy Chamdal and the friends and families of our customers, which rightly paid credit to our successes over the last 10 years. We look forward to providing another 10 years of service to the Hillingdon community!
