What Is The Dementia Experience Bus?
The Dementia Experience Bus is an immersive, interactive experience designed to help people understand some of the sensory and cognitive difficulties that can affect those living with dementia.
Participants complete a number of simple everyday tasks whilst experiencing altered perceptions that aim to simulate some of the challenges people may encounter.
The experience often provides powerful insights that can change the way we understand and support people living with dementia.
What Should I Expect?
The experience usually takes around 20 minutes.
You will:
- Meet members of our team
- Experience the interactive simulation
- Learn more about dementia and its impact
- Discuss your experience afterwards
- Receive information about local support and services
There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and continue conversations afterwards.
