Bluebird Care Stevenage & North Herts are proud to be joining fellow Bluebird Care teams from across the network in taking on an exciting and meaningful fundraising challenge in support of Alzheimer’s Society.
On Wednesday 29th April 2026, participants will embark on a full-day horseback trek through the breathtaking Black Mountains in Wales, raising vital funds for a cause that supports millions of families across the UK. Alzheimer’s Society plays a crucial role in providing care, funding research, and offering hope to those affected by dementia.
Representing Bluebird Care Stevenage & North Herts, Registered Care Manager Sarah Armstrong and Care Supervisor Kayleigh Saint-Clare will be taking part in the challenge. Together, they are committed to raising awareness and funds to support the incredible work of the charity.
Sarah Armstrong said:“This is such a worthy cause and one that is very close to all of us working in care. Supporting Alzheimer’s Society means supporting so many of the families we work with every day. I’ll admit I’m really nervous as I’ve never been on a horse before—but that makes it even more of a challenge and something I’m proud to be doing.”
Kayleigh Saint-Clare added: “It’s an amazing opportunity to be part of something that will make a real difference. Alzheimer’s affects so many people, and being able to support the charity while taking on this challenge is something I’m really proud of.”
The team is aiming to raise as much as possible to contribute to the wider Bluebird Care fundraising efforts, with every donation helping to fund essential services, support networks, and groundbreaking research.
