We’re pleased to introduce you to Janet, who has been part of the Bluebird Care Rother & Hastings team for just over 3.5 years and loves every minute of her job.
Janet works as a Community Care Assistant, providing day to day care and support to our customers living in their own homes.
We recently spent some time with Janet, finding out more about why she does what she does and what it’s like to know you’re making a big difference to people’s lives.
The flexibility that working as a Care Assistant gives is one of the main reasons I chose the role.
Janet explained that the role of Care Assistant works extremely well for her because of the flexibility it offers. This flexibility enables Janet to divide up the time with her daughter’s working pattern and provide childcare to her two grandchildren.
But not just this. Janet also loves what she does and the ability to put a smile on the faces of her customers when visiting. She explained that customers are always happy to see her, and it really doesn’t feel like work!
It doesn't feel like work. It feels like visiting friends and extended family!
To Janet, working as a Care Assistant feels like you simply have an extended family and make some fantastic friends. This is something that really inspires Janet each and every day she put on that Bluebird Care uniform, heads out to the car and starts the engine!
